Words are loaded with such power.
They can make one happy, sad or angry.
They also fuel the imagination by creating stories, long, twisted and fantastic stories that can make one forget just about anything. Each person has a story of his or her life, from the beginning of it to the very end, but Nobodies aren’t people because they so-called cannot feel and if anything, they are creatures of neither light or dark. They are just there.
And if one were to apply that to Roxas, even though he remembers how his half-life had begun and how it had ended, he doesn’t have his own story. His life, his body, only truly belongs to Sora, for he is Sora, and Sora is he and they are parts of one person. He can only live through Sora, through Sora’s life and be a factor, a twist in Sora’s story.
Even now, he watches with passive eyes as Sora grows up and finally becomes intimate with someone who his heart has secretly yearned for. Roxas tries not to react with emotions as Sora reaches out and wraps his arms around his best friend. Roxas can’t even close his eyes as Sora and Riku kiss passionately. Roxas can feel all of that, making him want something that’s never his in the first place.
While they touch each other, hands sliding down sweat-slicked skin, Roxas wonders if Riku knows he’s here-- if he knows that even Roxas, a Nobody, is actually getting aroused from the scene of lovemaking. Both he and Sora gasp as Riku pins Sora against the bed, straddling his waist. He’s smirking, green eyes dark and smug.
Sora moans softly, whispering Riku’s name and telling him to hurry up because he’s not going to last much longer. Roxas tries to escape from this cage of emotions-- lust, passion, and this great, powerful feeling that he can’t precisely describe-- but he cannot. Powerful words, powerful emotions, and yet they are all very vague in the end.
So instead of trying to resist, he embraces them all, because once the tumult has consumed him, he’ll already lose himself. He moans as Sora does, he opens himself as Sora does and as the fire of passion burns, it briefly reminds him of his dearest friend, Axel and then he smiles and lives and dies all at once because words aren’t enough to describe this great feeling.
He can only experience it.
Fin.
