Artificial.

This glass that he holds in his gloved hand, filled with red wine, is supposed to be artificial, made of particles of data, but he’s still holding it, shaking it and watching the red liquid swirling around and around in the glass. He gets up from his hover chair and glances around his lab. The advanced technology he has now, a combination of the old and the new, allows him to adapt into any kind of a problematic situation easily.

He shakes the glass again and takes a sip. It shouldn’t have tasted anything, and yet there is the bitterness in his tongue. He presses a button on the main computer and watches the lab work. The energies transferring from corner to corner are like magic, crackling and sizzling as it releases something in the middle of the room. By the time it is done, he glances at the glass and the new pod. They’re similar in that the pod is made of crystals, shiny and can be easily broken with the right tools.

He moves closer to the pod, like a ghost, which he is in a way. Another sip of that wine and he raises his head, looking intently at what’s inside the crystals. There’s a thing there, at least to him, it’s still a thing, a toy, with so much potential to be so much more. Put the thing in the right hands, in his hands and the thing will be more than a mere human, or even a being of the 4D universe.

It’s a shame that the creature’s eyes are closed, but he looks somewhat peaceful in the crystallized pod, with his blue-haired head lowered, smiling as though he’s truly just sleeping and not in a state of a coma. His clothes had been stripped, leaving him naked, but his body, his youthful, slender body fits his handsome face just right.

And still, Fayt Leingod should have been artificial too, made of participles of data, like this glass of wine, but he’s more than that. That’s the reason why Luther hadn’t deleted him when Luther had defeated Fayt and his friends in the final battle. That’s why he’s here, truly frozen in time.

In the new world of Earth, there is a sixteen-year-old teen who goes by the name of Fayt Leingod. He’s not much different than the other boys in that he likes to play games and basketball. His parents aren’t some great scientists and he’s mostly friends with guys because his last female friend, Sophia, had been kidnapped and had been found dead in some guy‘s ship. He’s still sad about that sometimes, but he has already moved on.

He has a new best friend now and he’s waiting for him to come out of the lake. He smiles at the sight of the sunset and watches the sky darkening. The stars come out, twinkling and sparkling, as though they are the signs of hope of a brighter future. There is a splashing sound and Fayt chuckles at the sight of his best friend, only adorned in black shorts, walking towards him.

Fayt hands his friend a towel and his friend begins to dry himself up, starting from his striking blond hair, moving to his slender chest and then stopping at his feet. He then places the towel around his shoulders and stares at Fayt with those deep blue eyes of his. His best friend is really something, totally the opposite of who Fayt is in that his friend is basically a genius and knows his way around the “higher” society, if that even makes sense.

“Isn’t the water refreshing, Luther?” Fayt inquires with a gentle smile. The blond arches an eyebrow at him and chuckles in amusement. “Every time I swim there, I’ve always felt like my body’s born anew. You ever had that feeling?” It makes sense to him, since the water is supposed to purify the body and wash all the dirt and stain away, leaving it clean and pure and untainted.

“I suppose,” Luther says with a shrug. Little does Fayt know that the lake is more than a lake, that it acts as a portal between 4D universe and the new Eternal Sphere. But what Fayt doesn’t know will most likely not hurt him unless the past repeats itself. Luther will never let that happen though, as long as he keeps his eyes on his enemy, best friend and possibly--

Fayt doesn’t know many things and sometimes it’s truly better that way.
