Seimei likes watching his younger brother. He smiles as Ritsuka rolls around his bed and nuzzles the new white blankets as though they are made of silk. He laughs as Ritsuka notices him staring and tilts his small head to the side inquiringly.

“What am I going to do with you?” Seimei wonders, walking to the bed. He sits down and embraces his little brother, stroking his slender back. Ritsuka is warm, gentle and innocent, a complete contrast to his already tainted soul.

No matter how many times Seimei tries to clean himself, the stench of blood never goes away; in the back of his mind, he will never forget the possibility that someday, he will most likely pay for all the terrible things he had done.

He only hopes that Ritsuka will continue to love him as he does now.

After all, that’s what love is truly about, right?

Compassion, forgiveness and ultimately--

Sacrifice.
